I'm trying to use Windows 10 (whatever@4 GB ram) on a Windows 1909 host using ASUS P5Q PRO with Intel Core2Quad 9550 (@3.61GHz) with 8GB ram (VirtualBox Version 6.1.6 r137129 (Qt5.6.2)).
But the performance is just crap! Host is showing up the useage of 2 cores at max, it is much slower than using just 2 cores - it is taking ages longer with all cores, also if I'm reducing the percentage down to 75% for CPU. Host will use just 50% of

Re: Windows 10 with Core2Quad?
First, two cores is best for a Windows 10 VM. More processors slows down the VM due to scheduling oversight on the host.
Also, a new Windows install in real PC or VM takes several hours to a day to stabilize and index itself.
Please right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's guest list, choose Show Log.
Search the far left tab's log for this text:
Attempting fall back to NEM
If you find it, Hyper-V is enabled. See HMR3Init: Attempting fall back to NEM (Hyper-V is active).
If you don't find that text, save the far left tab's log, zip the log file, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.
