VirtualBox Windows 10 Installation using Media Creation Tool
VirtualBox Windows 10 Installation using Media Creation Tool
I installed a new Windows 10 VM on my host which is a Windows 10 also. The .iso came from the media creation tool but my problem is the vm is so slow, the ram is already 4gb and 4 processors were added already. What seems to be the problem here?

Reduce processors to 2. Windows 10 basic install loves 2 processors.
If this does not help, Start the VM from full power off, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the VM from within the VM OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the VM with the Power Off option set.
Please right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show Log. Save the far left tab's log, zip the log file, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.

Re: VirtualBox Windows 10 Installation using Media Creation Tool
Hi, I changed it to two processors only and its still slow, especially on the start menu. I cannot even see what am I typing. I also did a little research and some people are also having the same issue as mine, I already disabled the hyper-v on my host and the issue still exists.

Nothing seems odd in the log. The VM has 3D acceleration enabled, so try to disable Settings > Personalization > Colors > Transparency Effects in your Windows 10 VM.

What happens if you reduce the Monitor Count from 8 to 1?
Other than that, did you try the current VirtualBox 6.1.26 (instead of 6.1.16)?

I did change the monitor count from 8 to 1 and disable the transparency effect. It's usable now but I can still feel the slowness of the OS.
