How to use Host firewall to restrict guest VM connection

Post by pigsign »

Hi All,

I want to restrict VM connection that allow Internet and deny local LAN like 192.168.100.0/24.
I search some info then know VM could setup NAT mode network and Host windows firewall could control it's traffic.

It is work on above setup on Host firewall setting could not to LAN.
But I have problem if I choose "virutalbox.exe" program on windows firewall settings then it fail to restrict VM connections.

What program name is correct? I only want to restrict VM not Host network.

Thanks.

I don't know how to use the host firewall to deny the VM access to the LAN but allow internet.

However, there is Virtualbox Networks: In Pictures: "Sandbox", it should work for you.
