Failed to acquire the VirtualBox COM object.

The application will now terminate.

Running win 10 home horrible os..Upon setting up newDell I installed vb no problem...Now when win 10 destroyed everything with updates. I can't install anything.. Your software worked perfectly on win 7 ...the bios is set enabled virtualization. That's what I've found on the tech web sites to verify.

Reboot the host so no Virtualbox processes are running.
Go to C:\Users\{youraccount}\.Virtualbox (note the period in the folder name)
Rename "Virtualbox.xml" to "Virtualbox.xml-bad"
Rename "Virtualbox.xml-prev" to "Virtualbox.xml"
Try Virtualbox again.

Open != Rename.

Try again?
