I have run VBox on an older code-i7 (24 Gb) system and also on a far more recent Xeon (32 Gb) system; same VM: WindowsXP 32 bit; performance was well workable.
But I lost both (I7 system crashed beyond repair and Xeon has been abandoned, I now run the VM on e very recent i9 (32 Gb) system, and performance is, to say the least, poor. It took about 30 minutes before I managed to login into the guest OS, where it used to be minutes.
A windows10Pro (64bit) guest has the same issue, it is a bit faster but nevertheless, it is WAY slower than on the older system - where it used to run fast enough to work with.
VM's themselves have not be changed in the mean time: same disk images.
Since I don't have no access to the previous machines, I cannot send logfiles to compare them....

Re: VERY SLOW on new system
Since you provide no VM log, all we can do is guess. And since you probably have a Win10 host (you don't actually say), I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark that the problem is this:
HMR3Init: Attempting fall back to NEM (Hyper-V is active).
