VM aborted after unplug docking station

Dear group,

I am using Vbox on a Dell Precision 5550 and Dell Dock WD19

Connected to the Dock an USB mouse.

After unplug and plug the dock station VM became unstable

Everything looks good in the VM configuration. The operation is smooth until:

Then the VM keeps going until:

The hardening log ends with exit code 0xcfffffff, which is an unusual one.

Something definitely went kablooey, but what it was I cannot tell.

Did you try to use a dockstation?

It is not random, I can reproduce all times

I don't have a docking station. We'll have to wait for someone who does to report what works or doesn't work for them.

Meanwhile, try what pausing, save-stating or shutting down the VM before docking or undocking does.

Before undocking, make sure that the Windows default audio devices are audio devices which are directly connected to the laptop. Please report back what you discover.
