Hello, today VB prompted me to update and so I did, and then I've installed the new Guess Additions that came with version 6.1.22 r144080 (Qt5.6.2)
After doing so, whenever a VM plays a sound, it'll loop the last note until a new sound plays (and then loops that one) or the VM is shut down. This behaviour happened on two VMs, one with a Win7 guest, and one with a Win10 guest.
As far as I can tell, the looped sound will persist over the system closing screen and will only cease after the VM is effectively off.
I'm at a loss, not sure if I should change some of my VMs configs to adequate them to the newer VB's version, or if I should try to downgrade the Guest Additions.
EDIT: Checking old versions, I was using 6.1.18; and only now VB prompted me to update. Seems I've skipped version 6.1.20

I am experiencing the same sound issue after upgrading from 6.1.20.
P.S. The host is Windows 10 20H2 Build 19042.964. The sound issue is happening on various Windows and Linux guests

There are some sound issues going on, see viewtopic.php?f=1&t=102694#p498899
Roll back to 6.1.18 or your previous version until this gets fixed.

Did that and the problem went away for now. Thanks for the suggestion!

It would be a really cute idea if people discussing problems in the latest x.y.zz release did so in the Discuss the x.y.zz release topic created by the devs. That way the devs will see your comments when they check that topic later.
