Microsoft Basic Render Driver

Post by formalninja »

Hello!

Trying to run a game. When it launches, I get "Detected Microsoft Basic Render Driver driver version unknown" the required drivers are AMD, Nvidia, Intel, etc. Please update your drivers at these websites."

Works fine using VMWare. Just not VirtualBox. Tried all different settings for display, and couldn't seem to find a solution on the forums.

Games typically don't work well on a Virtualbox VM, due to the virtual graphics capability in the VM. There often is not much else that Virtualbox can do aside form installing the Guest Additions and 3D acceleration. The only 3rd-party way to possibly improve the graphics that I have heard of is an OpenGL3 software render
