20H2 is officially released, I believe; moving from Pre-Releases.

The log doesn't seem to show anything weird in the VM set-up except for the qcow disk file.

The log shows a rather normal start, but then about 5 minutes elapses before the VM's Virtualbox services start. Then at around 10-ish minutes the VM's screen toggles on and off every few seconds. The VM's Virtualbox environment keeps running without trouble.

Looks like the Apt update failed. Ubuntu is known to have graphics problems if its disk runs out of space. Troubleshoot using Ubuntu's support channels as if this was happening on a real PC and Virtualbox were not involved.
