Consolidating VM files

Post by marius_1956 »

I created a VM by using virtual disks spread in different folders on different physical disks.
I need to consolidate the VM files, as it was created from scratch with all the virtual disks in the same folder, in order to easily manage, backup and copy it.
How can I consolidate my VM?

Clone it, full clone (not linked), current state only. The clone will be stand alone.

Of course this will also change the UUIDs, which may affect activation in Windows guests, however you have not mentioned what your guest OSs are so I have not put much thought into this.
