two monitors two screens

Post by rsail »

I'm booting linux mint on a windows 10 host with virtualbox. I have two physical monitors. i set up the guest to have two screens. It all works but was wondering if there is a way to have the second screen automatically appear on the second monitor. Is there a way to do that?

As far as I know, each display window will appear where it was when you last closed the VM (not suspended). It that not what happens?

This may work as desired if you have the VM in Full-screen. I used to run a 3-monitor VM on a 4-monitor host back in 4.3.x days and the VM screens always showed up in proper order on the correct host monitors.

It does work if in full screen mode but that's not what I want. Is there any way to get it to work without being in full screen mode?

@mpack no, that's not what happens unless you are in full screen mode.
