This change happened suddenly.. I was able to access the VM and start it comfortably from past 3 months on my local machine. But from past 3 days started getting this issue.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled virtualbox and switched to different versions and found the same issue across all varients. Didn't help. vboxhardening.log is attached, and it looks like ends with

There is something dreadfully wrong with that hardening log. Did you clip it to get under the forum size limit?
