[Solved] Loading Windows10 guest is too slow and loads the processor heavily.

Post by DmitryB »

Hi

At some point, all my guest systems on Windows 10 stopped loading.
The system freezes at boot and loads the processor heavily.
For so long that I can't wait for the system to boot up.

Here is a log file for one a machine.

and some of lines from log

Try reducing cores to 2. Never give a VM anything other than two cores unless you know when that advice might be wrong.

00:00:02.614468 NEM:WHvCapab ilityCodeHypervisorPresent is TRUE, so this might work...
And disable Hyper-v. See post #3 in FAQ: I have a 64bit host, but can't install 64bit guests.

Disabling Hyper-v. helped.
Thanks.

Disable "Hyper-V" in "Turn Windows features on / of"

AND

CMD: bcdedit / set hypervisorlaunchtype off
