Today I lost whole day trying to disable/remove Hyper-V from Windows 10 Pro.
TLDR: After trying everything...standard removal techniques using GUI and CLI and even bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off I still had "green turtle icon".
The only thing that solved my problem and completely removed Hyper-V was using Device Guard and Credential Guard hardware readiness tool: DG_Readiness_Tool_v3.6.ps1 -Disable -AutoReboot
Maybe this helps someone...

Thanks for your report!
FWIW HMR3Init: Attempting fall back to NEM (Hyper-V is active) mentions disabling Device Guard and Credential Guard, and gives some suggestions for removing Device Guard.
However, this tool you reported using is new to me. Where did you see it?

@scottgus1:
While those documentations are a valuable resource, they have been updated in 2023 and I didn't see a link to the tool any more. The tool itself can be found currently here: Device Guard and Credential Guard hardware readiness tool.
