Can't load VM properly

Post by The_snakegod »

When i try to open any VM, i am greeted by this message:

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine Windows XP.

The native API dll was not found (C:\windows\system32\WinHvPlatform.dll) (VERR_NEM_NOT_AVAILABLE).

VT-x is disabled in the BIOS for all CPU modes (VERR_VMX_MSR_ALL_VMX_DISABLED).

Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: ConsoleWrap
Interface: IConsole {872da645-4a9b-1727-bee2-5585105b9eed}

I have never been able to open a VM, and i dont think my Windows 7 is configured properly. I don't have hardware virtulization enabled, or know how to enable it.

Specs:
Windows 7
Intel i7 4790
8 GB Ram
intel 4600 intergrated
1TB hard drive

The first part of this needs to be changed if you're using Virtualbox 6.1. The second part can be handled through a web-search of your computer's or motherboard's manufacturer.
