BlueScreen Vboxsup.sys

Post by OceanView »

Hello.
I have a problem, virtualbox makes a blue screen when starting any virtual machine. I created different virtual systems with different configurations.
One result - blue screen. Version Vb installed 5.0 the result is the same. I can't roll back the system

Please uninstall Virtualbox and reboot the host PC. Then go to "C:\Windows\System32\Drivers" and look for .sys files starting with 'Vbox'. There could be up to 5 such files. If there are any, delete them.

Also check to see if there is a "C:\Program Files\Oracle\Virtualbox" folder and delete it.

Then right-click the Virtualbox installer and run it As Administrator.

Please let us know what happened.

OK, thanks for trying. You will have to use Microsoft methods (web-search how) to find out why Virtualbox is crashing the host PC. Also, you could try uninstalling then reinstalling with turning off one or more of the install options to see if the bsod stops.

My favorite way would be to go to the Microsoft Store, install WinDBG Preview, start it, load the minidump file and execute "!analyze -v".

Hello.
Help please.
We get this problem in large quantities. Is there a solution to this problem, or an answer from Microsoft?

We wouldn't have that answer or solution. Only Microsoft would:

Please note that neither of these are on forums.virtualbox.org.

Or get a local computer expert to troubleshoot the BSODs you're getting.

Hi all!
Faced the same problem on two differnet laptops. Has anyone found a solution for it?
I've tried to install different versions of VirtualBox, but nothing changed.
