VirtualBox VM with Kali Linux 2021.3 gets slower and slower...

Post by jmar83_the2nd »

Hi there

We have a Windows 10 x64 Machine with VirtualBox 6.1.30 and its Extension Pack installed... the VM we use runs with Kali Linux v 2021.3 and Kernel 5.10.0-kali7-amd64.

We use that VM for a (IP) radio broadcast application - with installed Guest Addition Drivers.

But now, it gets slower and slower, until the broadcase is not useable anymore.

What to do in that situation?

Thank you very much for your feedbacks.
regards, jan

Start the VM from full power off, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the VM from within the VM OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the VM with the Power Off option set.

Please right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show Log. Save the far left tab's log, zip the log file, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.
