Failed to load R0 module and VMMR0.r0

Postby Mike33 » 27. Oct 2021, 12:03

Hello

I am having a probelm with booting any OS by a virtual machine.
When I try to run I always get an error:

Failed to load R0 module D:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox/VMMR0.r0: Signature #2/3: Expected at least 2 valid paths, not 1.: \Device\HarddiskVolume3\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\VMMR0.r0 (VERR_SUP_VP_UNEXPECTED_VALID_PATH_COUNT).
Failed to load VMMR0.r0 (VERR_SUP_VP_UNEXPECTED_VALID_PATH_COUNT).

Result code (RC):
E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component:
ConsoleWrap
Interface:
IConsole {872da645-4a9b-1727-bee2-5585105b9eed}

My VirtualBox is 6.1.28 version and is on Windows 7 (64bit) Host.

I've already tried reinstalling VirtualBox, installing to a different drive, or installing an older version 6.1.22. But unfortunately it did not help.

Any ideas how to solve this problem?

Windows 7 hosts aren't supported by 6.1.x. You'll have to either go back to 6.0.x or upgrade the host OS.
