Hi all,
I replaced the old laptop with a new one and copied all my VMs. I installed the 5.1.22 but when I start my VM it prompt for the error:
Apertura di una sessione per la Macchina Virtuale win10 non riuscita.
VT-x is not available (VERR_VMX_NO_VMX).
Codice 'uscita: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Componente: ConsoleWrap
Interfaccia: IConsole {872da645-4a9b-1727-bee2-5585105b9eed}
I checked the internet and my bios settings, there is nothing regarding vt-X but all the stuff about virtualization is enabled.
hyper-v is disabled in windows.
can someone help me?
thank you

Please post pictures here on the forum, using the Upload Attachment tab below where you type posts, instead of on third party sites that border on porn hubs.
Check your processor again, look it up in the laptop's documentation and check on Intel's website. An I7 without VT-x seems unusual.

The i7-4600u does have VT-x, according to Intel.
The FAQ already listed the likely causes of problems.

sorry but my english and comprension are not so good.
I read the faq and cpu supports the vt-X(point 1), i searched the bios for hidden options but nothing(point 2), I checked the hyper-v and it's disabled(point 3) and also used bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off, i see only 32 bit in point 4

Re: VT-x is not available (VERR_VMX_NO_VMX)
Right there will be your problem. You have to ask the laptop manufacturer what they are calling the VT-x switch, if their BIOS has one. If their BIOS does not have a VT-x switch, and you can't get a BIOS update that will give you the VT-x switch, then your laptop will be limited to non-VT-x-requiring guests.SGResu wrote:i searched the bios for hidden options but nothing(point 2)

But, I'd say that it's highly unlikely that a modern PC based on an i7 CPU doesn't have this feature, so look again - or ask on the PC manufacturers forum.
