Keine Linux-Maschine möglich

Hallo allerseits,
seit Wochen versuche ich, eine Linux-Maschine in VirtualBox zu installieren, aber es gelingt mir nicht. Mein PC-System:
Windows 10 Pro 2004, Intel i7-7700, 16 GB RAM; Virtual Box 6.1.10 mit installierten Gasterweiterungen.
Ich habe verschiedene Linuxe ausprobiert, aber entweder steigt das System schon bei der Installation aus, oder dann später, nachdem das System fertig eingerichtet ist. Mein letzter Versuch: Linux Mint 18.3 XFCE. Zunächst habe ich also die virtuelle Festplatte eingerichtet mit einer festen Größe von 20 GB - ich hatte bereits trübe Erfahrungen mit dynamischen Platten, da brach schon die Installation ab. Dann die ganzen Einstellungen:

Während des Bootvorgangs der Live-DVD gab es bereits folgende Meldungen:
I:\Linux Mint 18.3 XFCE\Snapshots nicht möglich. Dann ist die Installation fehlgeschlagen (Installationsprogramm ist abgestürzt) mit der Meldung:
Beim Kopieren der Dateien auf die Festplatte ist ein Fehler aufgetreten:
[Errno 5] input/output error
Dies wird oft durch fehlerhafte CD-/DVD-Laufwerke, Medien oder eine fehlerhafte Restplatte verursacht ...

Daraufhin habe ich in der Konfiguration geändert: Massenspeicher Typ PIIX4
Jetzt lief die Installataion einwandfrei durch und ich konnte in dem frischen Linux alle aktuelle Aktualisierungen installieren. Nach dem darauf folgenden Neustart funktioniert aber kaum noch etwas: Der Dateimanager geht gerade mal noch auf, es lassen sich aber keine Programme mehr starten (es passiert rein gar nichts) und einige Leistenelemente sind am verschwinden.

Was könnte ich nur falsch gemacht haben, hat jemand eine gute Idee?

Make a new guest, so any configuration changes don't get used.

Try to do the install. When it fails, close the guest's Virtualbox window with the 'Power Off' option set.

Right-click the guest in the main Virtualbox window's guest list, choose Show Log. Save the far left tab's log, zip it, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.

I did that and attached the log file. However, I had to expand the disk to more than 10 GB, otherwise it would not be possible to install Mint. The system started at first, but after entering the language settings I suddenly ended up at login, which never happened to me before with the many installations I have done of Linux Mint! From then on I come back to the start screen, and nothing else works.

Your log contains these lines:

You might notice in the guest window's Status Bar the green turtle: The choice of animal is appropriate: Your guest is running, just really slow. Or it might guru-meditate. This is because a service that uses Microsoft Hyper-V is running on your host PC. Normally Hyper-V blocks Virtualbox. But your PC is of the type and OS where Virtualbox can attempt to run the guest using the Hyper-V engine. This arrangement is still being developed and isn't 100% yet.

If VirtualBox is running without Hyper-V enabled, and nothing else is interfering with hardware virtualization (VT-x / AMD-V), then the usual virtualization icon () will be seen in the Status Bar.

To turn Hyper-V off completely, do this:

1. Shut down all programs. You will have to reboot your host.

2. See I have a 64bit host, but can't install 64bit guests. This tutorial has a couple more things to look for in step 2. Be sure these are all turned off.

3. Find the Command Prompt icon, right click it and choose Run As Administrator.

4. Enter this command:

bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off

5. Enter this command:

shutdown -s -t 2

6. When the computer turns off, unplug it for 20 seconds. Then plug it in again and boot up Windows 10.

It works!
What I had done:
- In OptionalFeatures.exe, the "Hyper-V" was of course not set.
- In gpedit the Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Device Guard > Turn on Virtualization Based Security I disabled
- Windows Defender > Device Security > Core Isolation Details was already turned off.
- I executed: bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off : success.
- shutdown -s -t 2 executed.

Now I had the "V" in the status bar. The Linux-Mint-Installation didn't work again, but then I had to increase the size of the RAM to 1024 MB. Then all went OK, so I'm listening to music right now!
