Hallo, bei mir sind es gerade 37°!

Und mich stört, dass mein Win 10 x64 in der VirtualBox 5.2.16 nicht fehlerfrei und nicht flüssig läuft. Die Gasterweiterung 5.2.16 habe ich natürlich installiert mit der 3D-Erweiterung.

Das Scrollen bei Firefox Quantum haakt, bei Windows selbst kommt es immer wieder zu komischen Grafikfehlern. Gefühlt in 3 von 5 Fällen kommt es vor, dass viele große Item-Icons identisch falsch dargestellt werden, wie ein quadratischer Ausschnitt aus einem Graphverlauf mit mehreren Linien.

Der Host hat ein TR4 1950X Prozessor, 40 GB ECC 2666 Arbeitsspeicher, Radeon Vega FE. Angeschlossen ist ein Monitor, Auflösung 4K@59Hz. Gast ~4K (Maximiertes Fenster).

Gast bootet per EFI.

Drag und Drop funktioniert auch nicht. Die Zwischenablage jedoch schon.

Im Task-Manager des Gastes wird keine Überlastung angezeigt. Sind die max. zuweisbaren 256 MB Grafikspeicher vielleicht zu wenig?

Der Gast liegt auf einer m.2-SSD. Gleiche Partition des Hostes. Im Gast Windows ist Backup & Sync von Google und Avira installiert. Auf dem Host ist auch Avira installiert.

Seit dem ich den Gast in VirtualBox 6 laufen lasse, ist die Perfomance schlechter geworden! Aber ein paar Probleme sind durch die Deaktivierung von 3D-Beschleunigung verschwunden.

Neu seit VirtualBox 6 ist, dass ich einen riesigen Mauszeiger im Gast habe. Egal ob Pfeil, Hand oder Animation.

We need to see a complete VBox.log, from a complete VM run, where the problem occurs:
  • Start the VM from cold-boot (not from a paused or saved state) / Observe problem / Shutdown the VM (force close it if you have to).
  • With the VM completely shut down (not paused or saved), right-click on the VM in the VirtualBox Manager and select "Show Log".
  • Save only the first "VBox.log", ZIP it and attach it to your response. See the "Upload attachment" tab below the reply form.

Two things I notice:

That's a hardening error on a driver module, but I'm not certain that it's a problem. I'm not sure why the error would be VERR_BAD_EXE_FORMAT, unless the driver is actually for 32bits or something like that. You might want to check it out.

VirtualBox had problems with Ryzen a while back, I don't know exactly when. I would suggest upgrading your VirtualBox version.

Otherwise your configuration looks good to me.

@Socratis: I notice in the OPs log that the ATI OpenGL renderer gives a version number 4.x. So 2.1 is not inevitable with ATI. Perhaps that was OS X host specific?

I didn't even download the old log, or maybe I did back in August, can't remember. I was more like waiting for the 6.0.0 one... ;)

Hallo!

Die Grafikprobleme haben sich seit einer bestimmen VirtualBox 6.X-Version /19.10.15.01-190509a-342342E-RadeonSoftwareAdrenalin2019 verändert. Die Kacheln - wie im vorherigen Beitrag im Screenshot sichtbar - werden nicht mehr zerschossen, wenn VBoxSVGA vorgegeben ist. Egal ob 3D-Hostbeschleunigung aktiviert ist oder nicht.

Es entstehen aber immer noch Grafikprobleme, wenn ich im Gast eine DPI von 150% oder mehr setze. Um so mehr DPI, um so mehr Grafikfehler entstehen, und um so größer wird der Mauszeiger dargestellt. Wenn ich allerdings "Einstellungen" sofort öffne, sobald ich mich im Gast in Windows angemeldet habe, dann wird das "Einstellungen"-Fenster einfach nur sofort wieder geschlossen ("Crash"). Ich vermute hier eine fehlende 4K-Unterstützung. Also mein Monitor, hat eine Auflösung von 3840 x 2160 und beim Host sind 200% DPI gesetzt. VirtualBox bietet bei mir für den Gast - Anzeige -> Virtueller Monitor 1 - nicht mehr als 1920 x 1200 an aber im Gast kann ich eine höhere Auflösung auswählen, die dann auch übernommen wird und das VirtualBox-Fenster wird dann ausreichend größer.

Wenn im Gast 200% DPI gesetzt sind - ich habe es immer so gesetzt, wie beim Host - und ich fahre mit dem Mauszeiger ins Gastfenster wird genau im Moment, wo ich mit dem Mauszeiger den Gastbereich erreiche, der Mauszeiger doppelt so groß, wie er im Host normalerweise ist. Wenn ich den Gast wieder verlasse, wird die Mauszeigegröße wieder normal angezeigt.

Ich setze VBoxSVGA immer erst dann, wenn die Gasterweiterung für Windows installiert ist, weil ich ansonsten einfach nur ein Blackscreen habe. Tut man, um eine (neue) Version der Gasterweiterung zu installieren, die momentane Gasterweiterung erst deinstallieren, bekommt man beim Deinstallationsprozess auch ein Blackscreen und kann Windows nicht mehr herunterfahren. Einen anderen Weg, darum erst vorher VBoxVGA anstatt VBoxSVGA zu setzen und nach dem, die Installation der Gasterweiterung fertig ist, wieder VBoxSVGA zu setzen, kenne ich nicht.
