Gasterweiterungen Update nicht möglich

Post by TechnoMax »

Reinstalling Guest Additions 5.2.6 did not help either. How can I update this VM?
Go to the VM preferences » User Interface » make sure that the "Devices" menu is enabled, like the rest of them.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

I am not quite sure what you meant with enabling the Device menu. But when I loaded the GA ISO in the VirtualBox General menu submenu Mass Storage to the SATA-Port 1 of the SATA Controller, I could install the additions from within the VM as usual. Of course there still is no menu item in the VM menu under devices. But who cares if it works!
