Kernel-Power 41

Post by DW-Tel »

Hallo,

Daniel

The Virtualbox. In it is a Win7-64 with assigned 4 core and 8 gig ram.

To be able to use this for several users at the same time, we use Ncomputing terminals L300 with the vSpace 8.1.24, everything as far as current and last firmware or possible software
The Wink8 runs without problems.

However, when working on the Win7-64, we often receive the Event Critical Error 41 Task Category 63

So I close hardware, since all components are tuned to each other and have already been operated with an Exsi before.

With regards
Daniel
Event ID 41 means "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first". I can't say that I've seen it often in a VM, so I assume that you see the error on your host. You didn't mention it; it would have been easier, compared to having us guessing.

You are "lucky", because a friend of mine was getting the exact same errors (Event 41, Task 63) in a physical machine two weeks ago. It turned out it was dust in the fans that was causing the GPU to overheat (when playing video) and shut down the computer. GPU driver updates and a good cleaning fixed it. For comparison, I had her sent me the Event details:

  • Does it look anything close to yours?
  • Can you confirm where you see the error, in the Host or in the Guest?
