Post by 1979mark »

Hi,

Direkt beim Programmstart?

Turn on hardware virtualization support in your BIOS. This bug has already been fixed in SVN.

I am sorry but what should i do in BIOS? In the real Bios of my Gigabyte Board??? Because in the virtual bios it isn´t possible, cause the system does not startup

The BIOS of your computer. Not of the virtual machine.

I have no entry in my computer's bios that allows me to enable anything like "hardware virtualization". Is it called something other than this? And in what section is this entry normally to be found?

Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately, I have no entry like AMD-V, SVM or anything with the word 'virtual' in my bios. Would you be so nice to provide me with the new build where this problem is fixed? I'd really go on using VirtualBox!

Best,

Could you add your log file to the ticket then? I think your CPU has AMD-V hardware virtualization support. Perhaps your BIOS needs to be updated.

A new release will come shortly. In a week or two.

My motherboard has three available bios files and I installed all three of them to see if it makes any difference in using VirtualBox. Unfortunately, it had no effect, neither on my VirtualBox crashes nor on the amount of entries in the bios itself.

Is there a possibility to produce log files by using VirtualBox or do I have to install the Microsoft Debugging Tools?

I would really be happy if you could provide me with the new build right now as I should simulate a domain this weekend to test something for a productional environment. :(

I'm afraid we don't have time to provide you with a build right now. We are nearing the end of the 1.5.0 release process. Hopefully it will be out at the end of the week.
