[gelöst]: virtualbox.exe: VirtualBox.exe konnte nicht gefunden werden

Hallo,

plötzlich erhalte ich unter Windows 10 beim Starten von VirtualBox.exe die Fehlermeldung: "VirtualBox.exe konnte nicht gefunden werden".

Was ich bisher erfolglos versucht habe:

- Update auf Version 6.1.38 (aktuellste)
- DeInstallation und Neuinstallation
- Umgebungsvariable (Path) VirtualBox hinzugefügt

... alles erfolglos

Vielleicht weiß Jemand Rat

Ich hab`s gelöst:

In der Registry alle Einträge mit VirtualBox gelöscht.
Versuchsweise in ein anderes Verzeichnis installiert: o.k.
De-Installiert und in ursprüngliches Verzeichnis installiert: Voila

The error is from the host OS, not Virtualbox, and it shows that the executable "VirtualBox.exe" got moved or deleted from "D:\Utilities\Hardware\Virtualbox" and the host OS doesn't know where the exe went to. Maybe overactive AV quarantined it?

A re-install would be the correct step to take. Glad you're up and running!
