Hallo,

ich nutze Windows 10 als Host und Mint 20.1 als Gast. Mint ist in 5 Installationen mit jeweils unterschiedlicher Konfiguration vorhanden.

Eine der 5 Installationen kann ich nicht mehr starten. Nach der Eingabe des Passwortes verschwindet der Login kurz und taucht dann wieder auf. Das Passwort ist korrekt.

Start the failing VM from full power off, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the VM from within the VM OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the VM with the Power Off option set.

For the failing VM and a working VM, please right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show Log. Save the far left tab's log, zip the log file, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.

Please find the log-files attached.

I do not see any problems in the Virtualbox environment on either of these VMs. The failing one does not show any Virtualbox troubles.

I think the VM's OS is broken. You can try fixing it using Mint or Ubuntu help channels.

Ich konnte beim Start einige Fehlermeldungen sehen:
Failed to get display change request

VboxClient: Failure waiting for event
rc=VERR_INVALID_HANDLE

Das ist eine Fehlermeldung der VM, nicht des OS in der VM?

The message from VboxClient is probably the Virtualbox Guest Additions. The failure in the VM's graphics may be causing the Guest Additions to fail and report the error, or the Guest Additions themselves, containing drivers for the Virtualbox video card, may have failed and are causing the graphics problem. Either way, you'll have to handle the VM OS by text, to find out what the graphics problem is coming from and edit/delete stuff to get the graphics running again.
