Mit Windows 10 Gastsystem über Linux Hostsystem auf Linux-Dateisystem zugreifen

Post by Atalanttore »

Hallo

If you share a folder on the external drive in the Linux host, then access the shared folder in the Windows VM, Windows should be able to write to the external drive.

If you pass the external drive into the Windows VM with a Virtualbox USB filter, so only Windows can access it and not the host OS, then Windows would not be able to write to the drive, unless you provided drivers that enable windows to write to the drive's Linux file system.

Thank you. Shared folders seem to be what I need to have write access to a Linux file system with a Windows guest system without a proper file system driver.
