A little knowledge is dangerous. When it comes to Virtualbox's XML,Julia2000 wrote:And if Scottgus1 is so knowledgeable, why doesn't he do a tutorial on how to do it?
I can see it now:Pope wrote:Drink deep, or taste not the Pierian spring.
repeated ad nauseum......I followed Scottgus1's tutorial for editing Virtualbox XML and really bunged up my VM. PLEASE HELP ME!!!
Besides, I haven't drunk deeply enough myself. There's lots about the guts of that file that I don't know yet. Especially snapshots.
Besides2, there's a warning against doing the very thing the tutorial would teach. I respect the warning and know why it's there, and I'm not going to tell acolytes how to ignore it.
Zip and post the file, and a guru who knows what to do may fix it. Or fix it yourself based on the procedure I posted and you poo-pooed.
