Ich kenne schon auch noch DVDs und CDs. Mein altes Notebook hatte nämlich auch noch ein DVD Laufwerk und ich musste damals ja auch alle Programme von CD wie Word Excel und Photoshop in der virtuellen Maschine installieren. Habe ich ein richtes Laufwerk nehme ich die CD danach natürlich auch wieder raus. Aber bei den Guest Additions handelt es sich ja nicht um eine richtige CD. Ich dachte eher es ist eine Datei, die man anklickt und die sich dann installiert. Und so war es ja auch. Jetzt nach der Erklärung habe ich verstanden, dass es wie eine richtige CD war.

Und wenn sich Scottgus1 so gut auskennt, warum macht er dann kein Tutorial wie es geht? Sagen wir Scottgus1 sitzt vor dem Notebook. Es läuft normal Windows 11 und es ist Virtual Box 7 installiert. Was würde er nun mit der Tastatur eingeben oder anklicken um die Datei zu reparieren? Noch besser wäre ein Youtube Tutorial, auf dem würde man jeden Schritt sehen und könnte es ganz leicht nachmachen.

Besides, I haven't drunk deeply enough myself. There's lots about the guts of that file that I don't know yet. Especially snapshots.

Besides2, there's a warning against doing the very thing the tutorial would teach. I respect the warning and know why it's there, and I'm not going to tell acolytes how to ignore it.

Zip and post the file, and a guru who knows what to do may fix it. Or fix it yourself based on the procedure I posted and you poo-pooed.
