How to make PtoV of and old windows 2003 server

Post by vagelism22678 »

Hello, I would like to have your help on how to make a physical to virtual machine.
The physical machine is an old windows 2003 server and I want to make it run on a virtualbox hosted under a OpenMediaVault machine, that also hosts other guests.
Is there any tutorial?
I used diskP2VHD but the screen on boot remains black when it boots.
Thank you.

"PtoV" is not the common acronym, so would not be a good search choice. Google for "P2V site:forums.virtualbox.org", you should find lots of past discussion of virtualizing XP (or 2K3) systems.

You should discover this in the search, but the screen remaining black on boot normally means that the "IO APIC" setting is set incorrectly, so try toggling it.
