Freon for Cloudready/ChromeOS

Post by jelabarre59 »

Will VirtualBox ever get support for the "Freon" graphics subsystem used in later versions of ChromeOS/Cloudready? As it is, any of the newer builds (I think v58 or 59 and onwards) will not run under VirtualBox, and the only solution they can give is to run it under VMware player (not much use if I've already set up my system for VirtualBox).

I'd try Cloudready on QEMU/KVM, but I'd have to install it on my work laptop for that. Had thought it could be a useful test though (for my porposes, probably of no help for you though).

This is a user forum. I'm afraid we have no idea what the devs future plans are, because they have a policy of not saying.
