Hello,
I have installed OS/2 Warp 4 successfully in VirtualBox using the images from site information removed due to licensing and the very helpful guide on here by user ghr. I'm stumbling at the final hurdle; getting the GRADD driver installed so I can use a larger resolution.
So on my VM Warp 4.5 (Fixpack 15 installed) if I use the gradd083 driver, it installs but on reboot the system hangs (after displaying hardware info) please see screengrab:
I then rolled back to a clean snapshot and tried installing gradd97 but executing the setup GEN command returns the following error: REXX0004 Program Interrupted screengrab:
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Re: OS/2 Warp 4 Video Resolution
Warp 4 is not Warp 4.5. Warp 4.5 comes with functioning GRADD support and does not need any additional packages.
I don't remember exactly what works or doesn't work with plain Warp 4. All I can tell you is that I have a VM with Warp 4 FixPak 9 that runs GRADD, but I can't quite figure out which GRADD version it is. It may be simply whatever came with FP9.

Re: OS/2 Warp 4 Video Resolution
Oh I see. Thank you for the info michaln. It's just 4.5 was displayed after I typed VER in an OS/2 CMD Window, but I'm totally new to OS/2 Warp and have a lot to learn. It's been great to use the one OS that passed me by. I tried to access a smb share from the host and boy, there is a lot of hoops to jump through.
I'll try a fresh install of 4.52 (4.52.14.086_W4) from here site information removed due to licensing and report back. Would be much easier on the eyes to have a higher resolution display.

Re: OS/2 Warp 4 Video Resolution
Finally achieved full screen using aforementioned version of OS/2 Warp (Internal Revision 14.086_w4 is displayed on the boot splash screen). After install both attempted installs of gradd083 and gradd097 resulted in exactly the same errors. So from a good snapshot (VGA driver) I tried a few that hung on reboot but struck gold with the SciTech Display Doctor driver. I installed this via selective install (so it was bundled with the build). Lists in boot as V7 build 215.
Great stuff!
