No Adaptec choice when building machine

Post by jborissr »

I am moving my SCO 5.0.6 boxes to VirtualBox by using my restore CDROM ISO. Problem is the SCO boxes use SCSI devices attached to an Adaptec 29160 card. The only SCSI controller choices are Buslogic and LSIlogic. Is there anyway to have the VM controller mimic the adaptec so the drivers will load?

Yes, you can write new C++ code to simulate an adaptec card. Short of that I'm afraid the available hardware selection is what it is. It may be more practical for you to find BusLogic or LsiLogic drivers for SCO.
