I can successfully boot to Windows 98 or DOS but cannot get a DOS application to run; which is the goal of virtualizing this system.
1)Start Windows 98 VPC
2) Boots to Microsoft Windows 98 Startup Menu
3) (Select) 5. Command prompt only (Enter)
4) C:\>
SO FAR, ALL IS WELL...
5) Type Start and Enter
c:\>start (enter)
6) Crash!
LOG FILE IS TO LARGE TO ATTACH

Re: DOS application crash on startup
The likelihood of fixing the problem sight unseen are pretty slim. Your chances would be significantly higher if you could provide a VM for testing/debugging with concise instructions on how to reproduce the problem. Or even just the application, we can supply our own Windows 9x VMs. Actually this sounds like the problem might be reproducible with plain DOS, no need for throwing Win9x into the mix at all.
