Hi
I'm currently studying vmware because it's the hypervisor used for my job.
I'm successfully installed ESXi 6 as guest on my Windows Host virtualbox (64bits).
Esxi run well. I decided to create vm linux 64bits but when I start it it say to me this message :
On Google we can see that many tutorials use 32bits vms but not 64 bits. Is there a limitation ?
this is the message :
Failed to start virtual machine 'server64'. Reason: This virtual machine is configured for 64-bit guest operating systems. However, 64-bit operation is not possible. This host does not support Intel VT-x
But in Esxi Virtualbox Guest configuration, it is correcty check (vt-x/amd-v is on).
Is it possible to start 64 bits vm on esxi guest ? it seems that vt-x support is not passthrough to the vm inside my esxi guest
I don't want to use another hypervisor as "vmware workstation" because i m an intensive use of Gns3 (work with virtualbox).
Thanks for your help.
thanks for your reply.

Re: ESXi 6 on virtualbox
Nested Virtualization is not supported. So short answer is it will not work for 64-bit guests.

May be in future release, I hope.
