Virtualbox Configuration with WIFI USB

Post by EZ »

Hi,
I am trying to connect virtualbox to wifi. before you say that virtualbox doesn't have the hardware - i have attached to my pc a usb for wireless network.
Can anyone help or direct me how to setup the virtualbox and how to make wifi available?

Thanks.

The guest will always see the adapter as wired if you define it in VirtualBox. If you really want wifi you must disable the network in VirtualBox and use a USB wireless adapter and pass this through to the guest. Then it is just like any other NIC to the guest.
