Need help with Kali Linux

Post by Noodles »

I'm Trying to select wlan0 through a bridged adapter on virtual box but it doesn't show up, they told me to buy an usb network adapter but I can run monitor mode perfectly on my mac os x 10.9 (the host) is the usb adapter really necessary ?

Are you trying to use "wlan0" in the guest or are you trying to configure the VM with wlan0 in the host?
First will not be possible since Virtualbox does not emulate wireless devices, so yes, you would need a USB wireless if you require the wireless part.
Second would mean that something went wrong in the installation and drivers were not installed. Reinstall and try again.
