FreeDOS guest with Clipper

Post by passt »

I created a guest with FreeDOS (see my last post) to get Clipper to work. Unfortunately the result is very unsatisfactory.

Clipper starts, but it's very slow.
When I use the cursor keys from the keyboard (right, left, up, down), Clipper uses the keys twice. That means it jumps two lines down instead of one only.
Even more worse after I've rebooted the guest. Clipper interprets those keystrokes as the numbers which are used by the keypad on left side of my keyboard.

These things doesn't happen, when I use other programs, for instance the regular EDIT and so.

Does anybody has a clue?

I reopened ticket #58 (http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/58) today because I also recognised keystroke errors with FreeDOS 1.0 and MS-DOS 7.0 (VirtualBox 1.5.6 on a Windows XP host).
Hopefully, someone will fix this asap... ;)
