Enabling sound within a dos virtual machine

Post by andreasfc »

I have installed ms-dos 7.1 now, but I am missing the sound for a game I want to play, anyone knows which sound driver I need to use?
Is it possible to use Soundblaster 16 drivers?
Thanx

No. VirtualBox emulates Intel AC97 Audio, which is not supported under DOS.

The only thing you can do, is vote for inclusion of more emulated hardware:

You can do more than vote of course, for instance submit a patch.

I could do so, if I know how to create a patch. I am not a programmer.
