ArcaNoae is working on adding pure UEFI support to ArcaOS.
However the beta ISOs cannot be boot in UEFI mode inside VirtualBox, it just shows black screen.
I have no idea but I think in ArcaOS the UEFI boot image is actually running in long mode since the .efi file is a x64 pe image, but VirtualBox is searching for 32-bit efi images.
May some magical tricks can be applied to VirtualBox to support that?

Re: ArcaOS and UEFI
Or people can just use what works instead, and boot through BIOS.
What problem exactly will using EFI in a VM solve for ArcaOS? It's one thing if you have a system that can only boot through EFI and nothing else, but that's not the case with VirtualBox. What is it about computers that makes people always try the most complicated, useless things, instead of using the simple thing that already works?
BTW if you want to run 64-bit EFI code, you need to have a VM set for a 64-bit guest OS type.
