Unless you're building your own VirtualBox from the source, you can't "install" the patch, you'll have to wait for the next test-builds. I believe that both the 5.2.x (>r123218) and the development builds (r>123220) have the patch incorporated, as per the developers.

As for the OSX "patch"/"hack", as IPv6Freely said, read the thread from the beginning, or wait for the next beta which will (hopefully) won't require the patch at all...

Which is awesome, except we still have to wait for apple to change their exclude kext to be LT 5.2.14, but that's on them.

Great job, VirtualBox devs on getting this out so quickly!

It could/should have been even faster, had Apple given them the "Hey, you're getting blacklisted" warning (and the why) and coordinated with them. You do not get to ban an app for no good reason and with no warning!

Unless they sent that to "info@oracle.com" and it got lost in its way...

Heh, well yes there is that. Seems silly that it took so much digging to find out WTF was going on! Instead of breaking somebody's software without notification...

LTNS Hope all is well.
Just posting something so hopefully I will know when 5.2.14 works with Mojave. :)

Thanks. You as well. I haven't been doing as much with VMs as in the past.

Thanks for the updates! Do I understand correctly we still can't install 5.2.14 pending expected update from Apple? Or can we mod some macOS file to allow the install?

Thanks,

You can install it but you'll need to make the modifications shown earlier in the thread and load the kexts manually.

Has anyone tried Mojave Developer Beta 3 since it was released two days ago?

Yeah. Same. Hopefully Apple was told about the fix and will work with the next beta.

Yes it works with Mojave Beta 3 and VirtualBox 5.12.14
You have before to use csrutil disable and the modification of the ktext. See before in the thread

I think he was referring to whether AppleKextExcludeList.kext had been updated yet. It has not.
