Are there any docs on support state of OS X El Capitan as a vbox host system? Or can I simply search the bug tracker by some key word?
If I upgrade to El Capitan I need to know if vbox will be working, as I use it in my day job.

The devs don't pre-announce their development schedule.

FWIW, VirtualBox 5.0.4 runs on 10.11. The only issue right now is USB support. You can work around that by using shared folders if you need access to USB drives.
Don is correct of course. They never announce release dates.

Ok.. I have some crypto dongle that I need to pass to the VM so thats a show stopper for me. So I just keep my fingers crossed and wait for the release that states official support

Re: ETA/progress on El Capitan(10.11) support
Current state with v5.0.6:
* USB is working (just tested with USB3)
* 3D-Acceleration is working
What is not working/has glitches:
* Seamless Mode has a graphic glitch where a few pixels at the top are black and the windows 8 task bar is not aligned with the bottom.
* Scaled mode behaves strange when maximizing the VBox window. As soon as it is a little smaller than the desktop it works correctly
* HiDPI is not working very well. As soon as I do a right click the layout/scaling is completely off. Also when the "scale" is changed from 100% it is also not scaling right.
Apart from the glitches I can use this release in my job, so thx for the fast release containing these bugfixes. Migrated from VMWare without any trouble and so far all is well.

Actually 3D acceleration still has some issues with certain guests. Including causing issues with Seamless mode.

Yeah, sry. I should have stated, that my guest system is Win 8.1. I have made no experience/tests with other guest systems, yet.
