Trouble with VirtualBox on Big Sur

Post by The Big Gamer »

Running Big Sur version 11.2.1 (20D74); VirtualBox Version 6.1.18 r142142 (Qt5.6.3);
I gave VirtualBox full disk access, downloaded VirtualBox extension pack, and restarted. Clicked 'Start' and needed to select a virtual optical disk file. When trying to add one it crashes and says:

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine KaliLinux.

The VM session was aborted.

Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)
Component: SessionMachine
Interface: ISession {c0447716-ff5a-4795-b57a-ecd5fffa18a4}

When the mac shows me the crash report I can either hit 'okay' or reopen'. When i click 'okay' the above happens, however when I click reopen it gives me this error:

You must specify a machine to start, using the command line.

Usage: VirtualBoxVM --startvm <name|UUID>
Starts the VirtualBox virtual machine with the given name or unique identifier (UUID).

I need help figuring what I am doing wrong.
