Newbie problems in connecting and using the world outside the VM box

>> (Please forgive me for possibly asking dumb questions, but I am new to VM)

I have installed VM box (6.0.14) under Windows 10 (version 2004 build 19033). No problems during that installation.
Then, I tried to install Linux Mint under VM using DVD's.
Linux Mint 19.2 Xfce installed without apparent problems

Question: How do I access my Windows data files that are on the same system. I know that I need to mount these files but I cannot "find" the disks let alone the folders that I need to access.
I tried to use shared folders (see attachment 1) but I still cannot mount.


Advise would be appreciated.
