VT-X disable on win10 home RS4

Post by dennyding »

I have two PC's. one is the surface book, another is the surface pro 5.
All of them update to RS4 17120. there is no problem on surface book win10 pro without Hyper-V, but vt-x disabled on surface pro 5 from 17115.

surface pro 5 is on Windows 10 home version, so making 100% sure that no Hyper-V can be work . Surface pro 5 also enable VT-Technology by default and no option to change. I remember that It can be work before win10 17115 RS4.
Is there any possibility? new surface BIOS farmwork?

Thanks in advance

The facts are very straightforward. If you can't enable VT-x then you can't run any VMs which require VT-x. That includes all 64bit VMs, all VMs using >1 CPU core, and all versions of Windows > Win8.0.

You need to contact your PC manufacturer about how to enable VT-x, there is nothing we can do to get around this. On the contrary, the trend is that all VMs in the future will require VT-x or AMD-v.
