Windows 10 Build 15002+ - VirtualBox fails to start

Oracle,

VirtualBox is not starting, on Windows 10 Build 15002. Any attempt to launch "Oracle VM VirtualBox" results in a WerFault.exe instance. Details in Event Viewer are listed below.
Could you please look into it?

Was just about to post the same.

Since VB doesn't get to the point where it can do its own logging, there is none.

15002 is a huge update, so I'm not surprised by this cropping up again.

I am attaching a crash log that I made by using Nir Sofer's WinCrashReport while the program was running. In it, I notice the following strings that tell the reason for the crash:

1. Grown load config (%u to %u bytes) includes non-zero bytes: %.*Rhxs
2. Grown load config (232 to 244 bytes) includes non-zero bytes: 10 50 17 80 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00RTLdrOpenWithReader failed: Unknown Status -626 (0xfffffd8e) (Image='\SystemRoot\System32\ntdll.dll').

In the meantime, could you please tell Microsoft to make up their mind and stop changing the executable format all the time?

I give Microsoft feedback, through the Feedback Hub, each time VirtualBox breaks.
I'll edit my first post, to provide a link, so others can view and upvote it.
Now I just hope for a fix.

I had this bug this morning. To fix it :

Boot in safe mode, go to device manager and uninstall the VirtualBox video driver and check "Delete driver". Hit F5 to reinstall default basic Microsoft driver and reboot.

Hope it will help and VirtualBox team will fix thier video driver!

That bug isn't the same as the one wthat we are discussing. the one you were having is occurring when booting a vm that has the latest build of windows 10 installed contained in it.

"ASAP" ? Really? Seriously? Like they have better to do than to rush and provide you with a hotfix for an OS that even MS doesn't feel it's stable enough to be released to the general public? Just because you feel adventurous?

I found no Virtual Box Video Driver, can you post a screenshot of what it looks like?
