i was upgrading virtualbox to the latest version when i got this error

virtualbox was working fine before the upgrade, on 11, but after the instillation fail, i don't even have oracle\virtualbox directory anymore.

how do i install it ? when any new attempts just end in the same error message ?

Topic moved to "VirtualBox on Windows Pre-Releases".

I had the same issue and I disabled the "driver signature enforcement" (check Google for the How to)
After that everything is working as expected.

Before doing that, check what this means.

In VirtualBox 6.1.28 is still not possible to install in Windows 11 Host? Why?

There is a workaround by disabling driver signature enforcement temporarily.

Win11 is no longer a pre-release. Locking this.

Note however that the 6.1.28 user manual still does not list Win11 as a supported host, though most users report no problem. If you do have a problem then create a topic in "Windows Hosts" and describe the problem properly.
