Linux Mint 19.1 Cinnamon beta
Linux Mint 19 Cinnamon
- Beta versions present some GUI readability and highlight issues compared with official release.
6.0.0 BETA3 - difficult to read highlighted machine names. Snapshots highlighted text easy to read due to darker green.
5.2.22 - highlighted machine name easier to read, still not as clear as Snapshots highlighted text
6.0.0 BETA3 - Same light green highlight also in use for machine overview area, this time against a white background
GUI (colours) readability and highlight issues
Re: GUI (colours) readability and highlight issues
In comparison, installation using the .run file provides darker blue highlight (possibly fallback theming as other UI elements are almost GTK like)

Re: GUI (colours) readability and highlight issues
I see the exactly the same issue in my Linux MInt 19. Playing with the Cinnamon themes I see that Virtual Box UI grabs the colors from the theme (over GTK). This is how it should be since we don't set any fixed colors. That said we can try to tell Qt to use a darker tone one the theme color in specific places.

Thanks Whiskeyjack for your reply,
Just tried 6.0.0 RC1, seems same issue is still present.
Out of interest, what's happing in your screen capture, lots of virtual machine names have overlapping text, internal test build?

Interesting, so you could universally apply the same dark shade of green used for Snapshots highlighted text, for all highlighted text, helping provide design consistency?Whiskeyjack wrote:...we can try to tell Qt to use a darker tone one the theme color in specific places.
