Video capture performance is terrible - single core

Post by Technologov »

Host: VBox 6.0.0-BETA2 + Win7 x64.
Guest: Win7 x64 + GA6.0-BETA2. video settings: 1024x768 @ 1Mbps.

Playing MPEG4-AVC video in guest via Windows Media Player.
When playing a video in VM, attempting to enable video capture results in totally unresposible VM, at 2fps.
Performance is dog-slow at 2 fps slide-show.

Problem: video encoder seems to use the same CPU core as the VM. Encoder should be run as a different process on host, on 2nd core. Only 1 core is used on host. Rest are idle.
