Risky GUI: misclick will kill VM

Post by Technologov »

Misclicking the GUI (VBox Manager) allows me to change HDD image by mistake, effectively killing VM.
This is particularly problematic on some touchpads or bad mice (misbehaving mouse, that moves erratically).

I think that this design paradigm is risky; it's fine to do this for "removable media" (floppy and CD), but not for HDD. Or not at all.
For HDD changes, I'd recommend to allow this only via "VM settings-->Storage", via explicit action.

I can accept making HDD change that easy can be non-optimal. But calling it "killing" a vm is an exaggeration (this is the most polite word I can find at the moment). Nevertheless thanks for the feedback.
